It is a product manufactured from white bleached cotton gauze cloth of suitable quality. Manufactured by Bengal Chemical and Pharmaceutical Works Ltd. this medical roll bandage is used by doctors, dentists, and industrial safety organisations in hospitals and for individuals for first aid and home kits. The main raw material used here is bleached cotton gauze cloth of suitable quality, conforming to IS-758/1925. The width of the bandage cloth is 5 cm and the length of 5 metres. It is bleached to pure white colour, softened and freed from pieces of thread, leaf, shell, fibre, dust and other organic matter. The absorbent cotton when impregnated with capscuium celnrsin and methyl salicylate gives capscuium cotton/wool which can be used as a counter-irritant and to deal with rheumatic producing heat on undamaged skin.
