How Zinilet AB Products work

Montelukast + Levocetirizine + Acebrophylline is a combination of three medicines: Montelukast, Levocetirizine and Acebrophylline. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. This reduces inflammation in the airways and nose, and improves symptoms of allergies. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic which relieves symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Acebrophylline is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.

Patient Concerns about Zinilet AB Products

Frequently asked questions about Zinilet AB Products

Q. What is Zinilet AB 10mg/5mg/200mg Tablet used for?

Zinilet AB 10mg/5mg/200mg Tablet is used to help manage asthma, allergic rhinitis (allergies), and other respiratory conditions associated with wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, mucus buildup, and breathing difficulty. It may help reduce allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, and itchy or watery eyes while also supporting better airflow in the lungs. Regular use may help improve breathing and reduce the frequency of respiratory symptoms.

Q. How does Zinilet AB 10mg/5mg/200mg Tablet work?

Zinilet AB 10mg/5mg/200mg Tablet contains montelukast, levocetirizine, and acebrophylline, which work together to improve breathing and control allergy-related symptoms. Montelukast helps reduce airway inflammation by blocking substances called leukotrienes that can cause narrowing and swelling of the airways. Levocetirizine is an antihistamine that blocks the action of histamine, helping relieve symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, and watery eyes. Acebrophylline helps relax the airways and reduces mucus thickness, making it easier to clear mucus from the lungs. Together, they help reduce coughing, mucus buildup, wheezing, and breathing discomfort while improving airflow.

Q. Can Zinilet AB 10mg/5mg/200mg Tablet be taken on an empty stomach?

Yes, Zinilet AB 10mg/5mg/200mg Tablet may be taken with or without food. However, taking it after meals may feel more comfortable if you experience stomach discomfort. Avoid taking it with fruit juices such as apple, orange, or grapefruit juice unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Q. Why is Zinilet AB 10mg/5mg/200mg Tablet often recommended in the evening?

Montelukast-containing medicines are often prescribed in the evening because allergy and asthma symptoms may worsen during the night in some individuals. Taking the medicine regularly at the same time each day helps maintain symptom control. Follow the timing recommended by your doctor.

Q. Can Zinilet AB 10mg/5mg/200mg Tablet be used during a sudden asthma attack?
