How Trovafin Products work
Atorvastatin + Fenofibrate + Folic Acid is a combination of two lipid-lowering medicines (Atorvastatin + Fenofibrate + Folic Acid1, Atorvastatin + Fenofibrate + Folic Acid2) and a vitamin (Atorvastatin + Fenofibrate + Folic Acid3). Atorvastatin + Fenofibrate + Folic Acid1 prevents your body from making "bad" cholesterol (LDL) while Atorvastatin + Fenofibrate + Folic Acid2 works by lowering the levels of triglycerides in your blood. Additionally, they both raise the levels of “good” cholesterol (HDL). Atorvastatin + Fenofibrate + Folic Acid3 reduces the levels of a harmful substance (homocysteine), thereby decreasing cholesterol synthesis.

- Trovafin should be taken with food at the same time every day.
- Your doctor may check your liver function before starting treatment and regularly thereafter. Notify your doctor if you are more tired than usual, do not feel hungry, or if you have yellow eyes, skin or dark urine.
- Inform your doctor if you experience muscle pain, tenderness, cramps, or weakness while taking medicine, particularly if it is accompanied by a fever.
- Do not discontinue Trovafin without consulting your doctor even if you feel better.
