Cefixime + Azithromycin is a combination of two antibiotics: Cefixime + Azithromycin1 and Cefixime + Azithromycin2. Cefixime + Azithromycin1 works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of the bacteria. Cefixime + Azithromycin2 stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Serchcef AZ 200mg/250mg Tablet is a fixed-dose combination of two antibiotics and is used to treat patients with bacterial infections. Cefixime is used to treat infections of the ear, lung, throat and urinary tract. Azithromycin is useful in the treatment of ear infections, strep throat, pneumonia, traveler's diarrhea (loose stools and stomach cramps while traveling). Together they can be used to treat infections of the upper respiratory tract (typhoid and pneumonia), urinary tract and sexually transmitted diseases.
