S-Clear Lotion is an antibiotic skin medicine used to treat impetigo (a contagious skin infection) caused by Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes. It is approved for children from 2 months of age and older, as well as adults.

Systemic (whole-body) exposure to S-Clear Lotion is negligible after topical use, so it is not expected to have effects throughout the body in normal use. Most of the medicine stays in the skin.

S-Clear Lotion should be used in patients aged 2 months and older, and the safety profile in children was similar to that of adults. The safety and efficacy of S-Clear Lotion in infants younger than 2 months have not been established.

Do not use S-Clear Lotion in the eyes, mouth, nose, or vagina. It is for external skin use only. If the treated area must be covered, your doctor will advise whether a sterile dressing is appropriate.
