  • Mage is a combination medicine that can control blood sugar better than either medicine alone.
  • Exercise, eat a healthy diet, and take your other diabetes medicines along with Mage.
  • Take it around 15 minutes before a main meal.
  • It can cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) with other antidiabetic medicines, alcohol or if you delay a meal. Check your blood sugar regularly.
  • Always carry some sugary food to manage hypoglycemia symptoms (cold sweats, pale skin, tremors, and anxiety).

Q. How long does Mage 2mg Tablet take to start working?

Mage 2mg Tablet starts working 30 minutes after it has been taken. After you take Mage 2mg Tablet, the insulin levels increase causing a decrease in the blood sugar levels. The effect usually lasts for 4 hours.

Q. Can I take alcohol while I am taking Mage 2mg Tablet?

No, you should avoid alcohol while taking Mage 2mg Tablet since alcohol interferes with the working of Mage 2mg Tablet. You may experience signs and symptoms of low blood sugar levels which include weakness, shakiness, cold sweat, cool pale skin, rapid heartbeat, tremors, extreme hunger, dizziness, headache, and anxiety.

Q. Can Mage 2mg Tablet be taken with other antidiabetic drugs?

Yes, it can be taken with other antidiabetic drugs but according to your doctor’s advice. But since all these drugs lower blood sugar levels, regular monitoring of blood sugar levels is recommended.

Q. Can I continue to breastfeed while taking Mage 2mg Tablet?

No, you should not breastfeed your baby because if Mage 2mg Tablet passes in breast milk, your baby may experience low blood sugar levels which is harmful to your baby. Ask your doctor for advice.

Q. Do I need to stop clopidogrel if I am taking Mage 2mg Tablet?

You should inform your doctor and take his advice. If you cannot avoid using clopidogrel with Mage 2mg Tablet, take 0.5 mg Mage 2mg Tablet before each meal. The total daily dose should not be more than 4 mg. Monitor your blood sugar levels more frequently.
