Oseltamivir Phosphate is used in the treatment and prevention of influenza (flu). It is also used in the treatment of H1N1 influenza (Swine flu). It would be advised by your doctor when you have symptoms of influenza (flu) or if there is influenza virus outbreak in your community.

It is also used for the prevention of influenza after close contact with an infected person.

Fluvia 75mg Capsule should be started as early as possible, ideally within 48 hours of the onset of flu symptoms, for effective treatment. Starting treatment later than this may reduce its benefit. For prevention, it should be started within 2 days of exposure to an infected person.

Yes. Fluvia 75mg Capsule can be used for the prevention of influenza in adults, adolescents, and children aged 1 year and older following close contact with a person who has influenza. It is not a substitute for vaccination, which remains the preferred method for preventing flu.
