The lateral view X-ray is captured from the patient’s side. It visualises the heel bone, skin, and muscles around it. It helps to detect fractures, infections, osteoporosis, deformities, or abnormal growth surrounding the heel. Severe heel pain is a common symptom, which this X-Ray can diagnose. What are the drawbacks of a bone X-ray?
