Know more about this test
An X-ray is used to confirm a diagnosis of soft tissue issues in the body part. An X-ray machine shoots a beam of radiation through the neck, capturing a picture on a computer. This image represents the vertebrae (neck bones), swollen adenoids and tonsils, oral and nasal airways, the nasopharynx (where the two airways meet).
One picture is usually taken from the side (lateral view) when a neck X-ray is done to examine the neck’s soft tissues; one picture is usually taken from the side (lateral view). It is performed to detect long face syndrome (adenoid face of young babies) and diagnose nasopharynx cancer/tumor/cyst in your nasal region. It provides a reliable way for detecting early whether an issue is clinically significant.
