What is Reactive Nitrogen Species (RNS) - Upper Limbs?
The Reactive Nitrogen Species (RNS) - Upper Limbs test is used to detect the neuromuscular disorders in the arms. It is variation of nerve conduction study and stimulation is provided to the nerves and their response is monitored. RNS is performed to know the reason behind nerves weakness and pain.
This test helps in the diagnosis of disorders such as Myasthenia gravis, Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome and Botulism.
