A positron emission tomography (PET) scan traces the radioactive compound as it passes through the body. PET, along with computed tomography (CT), is used to capture images of the whole body. A PSMA PET CT Scan Whole Body identifies the areas of the body where the PSMA (prostate-specific membrane antigen) is, which points to the presence of prostate cancer cells.
