What is NCCT Scan Forearm?
NCCT Scan Forearm helps to visualize the bones and surrounding tissues in forearm including the wrist, radius, ulna, and elbow. It is done to find the causes of pain, tenderness, swelling and deformity of the fore arm. It helps to detect bone alignment, fracture, tumor, degeneration or other bone related problems in the fore arm.
What is NCCT Scan Forearm used for?
- • To detect the fractures of the bones of the fore arm not visible on a simple X-ray • To detect the cause of any unexplained pain in the fore arm • To detect any infection, injury or inflammation of the soft tissues like the muscle, the tendons and ligaments of the fore arm • To diagnose any suspected infection, osteoporosis, deformities or abnormal growth of the bones and arthritis (inflammation of the joints)
