HRCT Mastoid

The High Resolution Computed Tomography or HRCT scan of Mastoid is an imaging test. It involves the use of narrow beams of X-rays to create an image of high resolution. It is done to assess the normal structure or to detect any problems of the mastoid region (part of the skull bone present behind the ear). It is also useful to characterize all middle ear structures and complications of the ear disease prior to surgery.
