Holter Monitor Test For 48 Hours at Center

A Holter is a small monitor which measures the rate and rhythm of heart. It is a medical device which is powered by battery. This is done in addition to electrocardiogram test. Holter testing is also known as ambulatory electrocardiography. The monitoring of heart rate and rhythm is done continuously for twenty four hours. The patient is advised to wear the Holter monitor for 12-48 hours in normal daily routine. Like electrocardiogram, Holter has electrodes and electrical leads but they are comparatively lesser. It can also detect chest pain, irregular heartbeat or arrhythmia.
