The CT Scan Cerebral Angiography (CTA) is a non-invasive diagnostic tool that detects abnormalities in your brain’s blood vessels like accumulation of fats and cholesterol, bleeding in the brain, tumors, injuries. These abnormalities in your cerebral (a crucial part of your brain) region can cause persistent headaches, double vision, fainting, and stroke. The scan also helps doctors to assess the risk of stroke, plan treatment for blockages, check the efficiency of stents and grafts.

During the scan, the X-ray beam takes images of your brain and transmits them to a computer monitor. You must stay still because movement can blur the pictures. Inform the doctor about your medications, if you are pregnant, diabetic, or have a history of kidney problems.
