CT PET WHOLE BODY PSMA
What is CT PET WHOLE BODY PSMA?
PET CT Whole body scans combines the Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scan and Computerized Tomography (CT) scan test together to scan the whole body. The PET scans are useful for detecting metabolic changes that occur at the cellular level in an organ or tissue. PET Scan uses radioactive tracers which are either swallowed, inhaled or injected into the body before the test. The CT scan uses special X-ray machine to create pictures of the body part. The images from the two scans are combined through computer to create a three-dimensional image, which provides more accurate and precise information.
