The contrast material is a dye that gives a clear picture of the organs, and the rotating beams of the X-ray provide a three-dimensional image of the organs.

This procedure helps detect kidney stones, gallstones, and any injury or infection of the abdomen and the pelvic region. It also helps diagnose cancers of the kidney, liver, pancreas, and ovaries. Furthermore, it helps diagnose diseases, such as Crohn’s disease and appendicitis.
