What is USG Upper Abdomen?
USG (Ultrasonography) or Ultrasound of the Upper Abdomen is an imaging test that uses high-intensity sound waves to produce pictures of the body's internal structures. It is primarily used for evaluating the kidneys, liver, pancreas, and gall bladder.
The ultrasound images aid in diagnosing and treating medical conditions like unexplained pain, swelling, or infection, detect damage or tumor in an organ. It is also helpful in checking the shape, size, and position of an organ.
