यदि आप फाइटोनेडियोन ले रहे हों तो बगैर अपने डॉक्टर की सलाह के वारफेरिन (कोमैडिन) जैसे एंटीकॉगुलेंट्स ('रक्त को पतला बनाने वाले तत्त्व') न लें, यदि आप ओर्लिस्टैट (जेनिकल) ले रहे हों, तो इसे आप विटामिन के लेने के 2 घंटे पहले लें या 2 घंटे बाद लें।
  • यदि आपको सर्जरी या डेंटल वर्क करवाने की जरूरत हो, सर्जन या डेंटिस्ट को समय से पहले ही बता दें कि आप विटामिन के का इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं।
  • लिवर के गंभीर रोग वाले मरीजों में विटामिन के का इस्तेमाल सावधानीपूर्वक करना चाहिए, क्योंकि इसकी अधिक खुराक से लिवर की क्रियाओं में और भी गिरावट आ सकती है।
  • यदि लिवर रोग के किसी रोगी में विटामिन के की लंबे समय तक चिकित्सा की आवश्यकता हो, तो उसका नियमित रूप से लिवर क्रिया का परीक्षण किया जाना चाहिए।
  • यदि आपको गुर्दे की बीमारी के कारण डायलिसिस उपचार लेना पड़ रहा हो तो बहुत ज्यादा विटामिन लेना हानिकारक हो सकता है।
इन स्थितियों में इस दवा का उपयोग करने से पहले, अपने डॉक्टर से कहें:
  • यदि आपमें कभी रक्त विकारों की चिकित्सा करवाई गई हो।
  • आपने पित्ताशय की थैली रोग की चिकित्सा करवाई हो (उदाहरण के लिए, प्रतिरोधात्मक पीलिया, पित्त भगंदर) है ।
  • आपमें लिवर या गुर्दे की बीमारी रही हो।
  • यदि आपने हाल ही में किसी एंटीबायोटिक का इस्तेमाल किया हो वर्तमान में ले रहे हों।
  • यदि आपने हाल ही एनिसिनडायोन, हेपारिन, वारफेरिन, कोमैडिन जैसी खून पतला करने वाली किसी दवा का इस्तेमाल किया हो या वर्तमान में उसे ले रहे हों।
  • यदि आपने हाल ही में सैलिसिलेट- जैसे कि एस्पिरिन, बैकएक रिलीफ एक्ट्रा स्ट्रेंथ, नोवासल, न्युप्रिन बैकएक कैप्लेट, डोआन पिल्स एक्ट्रा स्ट्रेंथ, पेप्टो-बिस्मोल, ट्राइकोसल और अन्य का इस्तेमाल किया हो या वर्तमान में कर रहे हों।
  • गर्भावस्था के दौरान इस दवा का इस्तेमाल केवल तभी किया जाना चाहिए जब स्पष्ट रूप से इसकी जरूरत हो।
  • विटामिन के अकेला, या कुछ अन्य दवाओं के साथ, या कुछ फॉमुलेशन में शराब के साथ आपमें चक्कर ला सकता है। ड्राइव न करें या मशीनरी न चलाएं, या कुछ ऐसी गतिविधि न करें, जो तबतक खतरना हो सकती है, जबतक कि विटामिन के पर आप प्रतिक्रिया देना न सीख लेते हों।
