Ketorolac का इस्तेमाल दर्द के लिए किया जाता है।
Ketorolac कैसे काम करता है
Ketorolac एक गैर-स्टेरॉयड सम्बन्धी सूजन-रोधी दवा (नॉन-स्टेरॉयडल एंटी-इंफ्लेमेटरी ड्रग अर्थात् एनएसएआईडी) है। यह कुछ विशेष रासायनिक संदेशवाहकों को मुक्त होने से रोकता है जिनके कारण बुखार, दर्द और सूजन (लाल होना और फूलना) होता है।
केटोरोलैक, नॉन-स्टेरॉयडल एंटी-इन्फ्लामेटरी ड्रग्स (एनएसएआईडी) नामक दवाओं की एक श्रेणी से सम्बन्ध रखता है जो साइक्लोऑक्सीजनेज नामक एंजाइम के प्रभाव को अवरुद्ध करने का काम करता है जिसके परिणामस्वरूप प्रोस्टाग्लैंडीन (दर्द से संबंधित केमिकल) के उत्पादन में कमी आती है जिससे दर्द, फुलाव और सूजन कम हो जाता है।
