Panitumumab is used in the treatment of head and neck cancer and cancer of colon and rectum.

How Panitumumab works

Panitumumab is a monoclonal antibody that specifically binds to receptors on cancer cells. Thus it flags the cancer cells for destruction by the body's immune system.

Nausea, Vomiting, Decreased magnesium level in blood, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Diarrhea, Cough, Stomatitis (Inflammation of the mouth), Abdominal pain, Constipation, Decreased potassium level in blood
