Ofatumumab Uses
Ofatumumab is used in the treatment of relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS).
How Ofatumumab works
Ofatumumab is a medicine that targets and removes B cells, a type of immune cell that plays a role in multiple sclerosis (MS). It binds to a protein called CD20 on B cells, marking them for destruction. This helps reduce inflammation, lower the number of relapses, and slow down the damage to the nervous system. The treatment keeps B cells under control while allowing some to recover over time.
