  • Metronidazole + Tetracycline should be taken with or without food but at the same time every day.
  • Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
  • It may cause dizziness. Don't drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how medicine affects you.
  • It is advisable to stay hydrated and drink plenty of water to overcome medicine side effects.
  • Avoid consuming alcohol while taking this medication as it can enhance the dizziness.
  • Discontinue Metronidazole + Tetracycline and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing.
Frequently asked questions for Metronidazole + Tetracycline
Take Metronidazole+Tetracycline as soon you remember it. However, do not take it if it's almost time for your next dose. Also, do not take an extra dose to make up for your missed dose.
No, do not stop taking Metronidazole+Tetracycline and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured.
Inform your doctor if you don't feel better after finishing the full course of treatment. Also, inform him if your symptoms are getting worse while using this medicine.
No, you should avoid using milk and milk products while taking Metronidazole+Tetracycline. Consuming dairy products along with Metronidazole+Tetracycline can decrease its absorption from the stomach, which may lead to inadequate affect of this medicine.
Alcohol should be strictly avoided while taking Metronidazole+Tetracycline and for at least 3 days after completely stopping the medicine. Drinking alcohol can cause an unpleasant reaction (Disulfuram reaction) with symptoms such as stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, headache, flushing or redness of the face.
