Metronidazole+Nicotinamide is used in the treatment of acne.

How Metronidazole + Nicotinamide works

Metronidazole + Nicotinamide is a combination of two medicines: Metronidazole and Nicotinamide which treat pimples (acne). Metronidazole is an antibiotic which kills bacteria and other infectious microorganisms by damaging the DNA. Nicotinamide is a form of vitamin B. It exerts anti-inflammatory effects when applied to the skin and reduces swelling, redness and tenderness associated with acne.

You may have to use it for a long time before your acne starts to improve. Be patient and keep using it every day.
Wash your skin with a mild cleanser and pat it dry before applying Metronidazole + Nicotinamide.
Apply it as a thin layer onto clean, dry, unbroken skin affected by acne.
It may cause minor burning, stinging or irritation when applied. Inform your doctor if this does not go away.
Avoid contact with your eyes, nose or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the cream in these areas.
Inform your doctor if symptoms do not get improves within 2- 4 weeks of the treatment.
Dry skin is a common side effect. Use skin moisturizers and avoid alcohol-based products to avoid dryness.
