How Mebendazole + Levamisole works
Mebendazole + Levamisole is a combination of two medicines: Mebendazole and Levamisole. Mebendazole works by keeping the worms from absorbing sugar (glucose), so that they lose energy and die. Levamisole works by decreasing the muscle activity and causing paralysis of the worms.
Common side effects of Mebendazole + Levamisole
Nausea, Vomiting, Stomach pain, Loss of appetite, Dizziness, Headache, Increased liver enzymes
Mebendazole + Levamisole should be taken with food but at the same time every day.
Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
It may cause dizziness. Don't drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how medicine affects you.
It is advisable to stay hydrated and drink plenty of water to overcome medicine side effects.
Avoid consuming alcohol while taking this medication as it can enhance the dizziness.
Discontinue Mebendazole + Levamisole and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing.
