Lidocaine + Silver Sulfadiazine + Chlorhexidine Gluconate contains three active ingredients. Silver sulfadiazine disintegrates into the burn wound, thereby causing a slow and sustained release of silver ions. They inhibit the growth and multiplication of bacterial cells without affecting the cells of the skin. It prevents the growth of a wide array of bacteria, as well as yeast, on the damaged skin. Lidocaine suppresses the pain signals to the brain temporarily. Chlorhexidine works against a wide range of bacteria by disrupting the cell membrane of bacteria.
