Diazepam + Aluminium Hydroxide + Propantheline is a combination of three medicines. Diazepam is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA) which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Aluminium Hydroxide is an antacid that neutralizes excess stomach acid to relieve acidity. Propantheline belongs to a class of drugs called anticholinergics. It works by relaxing the muscles of the stomach, intestines, and bladder and also decreasing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. This is how Diazepam + Aluminium Hydroxide + Propantheline works to treat irritable bowel disease.
