Dapsone+Adapalene is used in the treatment of acne.

How Dapsone + Adapalene works

Dapsone + Adapalene is a combination of two medicines: Dapsone and Adapalene which treat acne (pimples). Dapsone is an antibiotic which stops the bacteria from producing folic acid, a nutrient required for bacterial multiplication. Adapalene is a form of vitamin A which prevents accumulation of the sebum (skin’s natural oil), unblocks the pores and allows natural exfoliation of the outer layers of skin.

Expert advice for Dapsone + Adapalene

  • Dapsone + Adapalene must be applied as a thin layer on the affected area as prescribed by your doctor.
  • Do not use this medicine more often or for longer than advised by your doctor.
  • Before each application, wash the affected area with soap and water and dry well. 
  • Avoid getting it in the eyes, mouth or nose. Rinse with cold water if you accidentally get it in these areas.
  • It makes your skin sensitive towards sunlight. Use a sunscreen or wear protective clothing while going out.
  • It is advisable to avoid any kind of facial waxing or cosmetic procedure during acne treatment.
