Dalfampridine is used in the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS). It helps to improve walking ability and walking speed in people with multiple sclerosis.

Dalfampridine is a potassium channel blocker. It works by strengthening the communication between nerves and muscles. This results in improved muscle activity – in this case, walking – in people with multiple sclerosis.

Take the medicine exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Usually, it is advised to take one tablet twice daily with or without food about 12 hours apart. Take the medicine whole, do not break, crush, or chew.
