Chloramphenicol+Fluorometholone is used in the treatment of bacterial eye infections.

Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Fluorometholone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen and itchy after an allergy or infection.
