Cefetamet is used for treatment of infections of ear, nose, throat, lower respiratory tract (pneumonia), inflammation of middle ear (otitis media), inflammation of sinus (sinusitis), long-term inflammation of the air passages (chronic bronchitis) and  urinary tract infections.

How it works

Cefetamet is an anti-infective drug and it belongs to a class of medications called as third generation cephalosporins. It inhibits the last step of bacterial cell wall (outer coating of bacteria) formation resulting in rupture and killing of bacteria.

  • Consult your doctor before taking cefetamet if you have experienced severe allergic reactions to penicillins or cephalosporins.
