Bempedoic acid+Rosuvastatin is used in the treatment of high cholesterol.

How Bempedoic acid + Rosuvastatin works

Bempedoic acid + Rosuvastatin is a combination of two medicines. Bempedoic acid inhibits an enzyme called adenosine triphosphate-citrate lyase (ACL) and blocks the production of cholesterol in the liver. Rosuvastatin blocks an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase and slows the production of cholesterol in the body to decrease the amount of cholesterol that may build up on the walls of the arteries and block blood flow to the heart, brain, and other parts of the body.

Headache, Muscle pain, Abdominal pain, Weakness, Nausea, Upper respiratory tract infection, Muscle spasm, Increased uric acid level in blood, Back pain, Bronchitis (inflammation of the airways), Pain in extremities, Anemia (low number of red blood cells), Increased liver enzymes
