How Bempedoic acid + Ezetimibe works

Bempedoic acid + Ezetimibe is a combination of two different medications used to lower cholesterol levels. Bempedoic acid inhibits an enzyme called ATP citrate lyase involved in cholesterol synthesis in the liver. Whereas, ezetimibe blocks the absorption of cholesterol from the small intestine. These actions together result in lower amounts of cholesterol in the body.
