How Bamlanivimab + Etesevimab works
Bamlanivimab + Etesevimab is a combination of two human immunoglobulin G-1 (IgG1) neutralizing monoclonal antibodies that bind at different sites on the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19. This unique binding mechanism, developed using recombinant DNA technology, is equally effective against the existing as well as newer emerging variants in preventing the virus from attaching to the human cell receptors.
