Ampicillin is used to treat bacterial infections such as lung infections, ear, skin, and urinary tract infections.

How it works

Required for blood to clot (thrombocytopenia), reduced oxygen carrying capacity of blood due to destruction of red blood cells (hemolytic anemia).Ampicillin belongs to a group of antibiotics called penicillin antibiotics. Ampicillin kills a wide range of infection-causing bacteria, It acts by stopping  the bacterial cell wall formation that is essential for bacterial growth and survival, thereby killing the bacteria.
