Xinomom CF Cream is a combination of three medicines: Clotrimazole, Fusidic Acid and Mometasone which treat skin infections. Clotrimazole is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Fusidic Acid is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Mometasone is a steroid medicine which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy.
Xinomom CF Cream may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
No information is available on the use of Xinomom CF Cream during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
