Emergency contraception
Emergency contraception, also called postcoital contraception, can be used as a contraceptive method to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sexual intercourse. There are two methods of emergency contraception - intrauterine devices (IUDs) and emergency contraceptive pills (commonly known as the ‘morning after’ pill).
