It can be characterized by a sensation of pain or discomfort in the upper abdominal region accompanied by a feeling of fullness, bloating, and flatulence. According to Ayurveda, indigestion is termed as Agnimandya. This occurs due to an imbalance of Pitta dosha. Whenever the consumed food is left undigested due to Mand Agni (low digestive fire), it results in the formation of Ama (toxic remains in the body due to improper digestion).

4. Rheumatoid arthritis
Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is known as Aamavata in Ayurveda. Amavata is a disease in which vitiation of Vata dosha and accumulation of Ama (toxic remains in the body due to improper digestion) takes place in the joints. Amavata starts with a weak digestive fire and leads to the formation of Ama. It is carried to different parts of the body through Vata. This Ama, instead of being absorbed in the body, gets accumulated in the joints. These properties provide relief in the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis-like joint pain and swelling.
5. Diarrhea

In addition, other factors like stress and toxins may result in the imbalance of Vata dosha which disturbs the functioning of digestive fire (Agni), causing Agnimandya (weak digestive fire). This aggravated Vata brings fluids in the intestine from various tissues of the body and mixes them with the stool which leads to diarrhea. Sanjivani Vati is an effective Ayurvedic preparation that helps to digest the Ama (toxic remains in the body due to improper digestion) because of Deepan (appetizer) and Pachan (digestive) properties and reduce the symptoms of diarrhea. It helps to balance the Vata dosha, which in turn leads to the prevention of diarrhea
