Directions for Use:
Use as directed by your baby's physician. Proper hygiene, handling and storage are important when preparing infant formula. Failure to follow these instructions can potentially lead to adverse effects on the health of your baby. Powdered infant formulas are not sterile and should not be fed to premature infants or infants who might have immune problems unless directed and supervised by your baby's physician. Use only the scoop enclosed in this box to measure Similac® Advance 1 powder. Once feeding begins, use within one hour or discard. *The standard reconstitution is 131.6 g of powder, brought up to 1 L with water. For a standard serving of 33.4 mL, add one level scoop (approximately 4.4 g) of powder in approximately 30 mL of water. Consult your baby's doctor about how much your baby should be consuming. These are only suggested feeding intakes; every baby is different. When your baby is 6 months, try Similac® Advance 2, specially formulated to meet the needs of growing infants over 6 months. Infants above 6 months should receive supplemental food in addition to formula. Consult your doctor for advice.
Storage:
This box contains a sealed foil pouch. Once foil pouch has been opened, contents should be used within 2 weeks. Please do not empty the content of foil into the container and continue to use powder from foil pouch. Transfer the pouch into another clean air-tight container and store in a cool, dry & hygienic place (Do not refrigerate). For extra precaution, fold the foil pouch after every use to avoid powder exposure to environment.
