Chuk-De Gond Katira s a natural gum that is obtained from the hardened sap of two sub-Saharan species of Acacia tree – Acacia Senegal and Acacia Seyal. It grows all over Africa and in the Indian subcontinent. Iran is the largest producer of these yellowish translucent crystals. Gond katira is an odourless and tasteless substances that takes the flavour of the dish/drink it is added to.
