Bakson's Crataegus Oxyacantha is a homoeopathic aid which is chiefly used as a heart tonic and acts on the heart muscles. It is indicated in cardiac-hemorrhagic or lithemic cases, in hypertension, arteriosclerosis, dyspnoea and dropsy. Symptoms include weakness and exhaustion with sudden weakness sometimes. It acts as a sedative in cross, irritable patients with cardiac symptoms. In cases of arteriosclerosis, it is known to have a solvent power upon crustaceous and calcareous deposits in arteries.
