What is Cervavac Vaccine? 

Cervavac Vaccine is a quadrivalent HPV vaccine containing HPV types 6, 11, 16, and 18 serotypes. Cervical, vulvar, vaginal, and anal cancer are caused by HPV types 16 and 18 while genital warts are caused by HPV types 6 and 11. The vaccine works by introducing virus-like particles (VLPs) that mimic the surface of HPV, promoting the immune system to produce protective antibodies without causing any infection. It is essential to take the vaccine doses per the doctor's advice for adequate protection against the disease.

However, it is advised to consult the doctor before using any other vaccine.
No, there is no need to get an HPV test or a pap test to find out if they should get the vaccine. However, women should get screened for cervical cancer, even if they have received all the recommended shots of Cervavac Vaccine. This is because the Cervavac Vaccine does not prevent all types of cancer of the cervix.
The Cervavac vaccine should not be administered to individuals who have a known hypersensitivity (severe allergic reaction) to any of its components or who have experienced an allergic reaction following a previous dose of an HPV vaccine.
Cervavac is not recommended for use during pregnancy. If pregnancy occurs after starting the vaccination schedule, the remaining doses should be postponed until after pregnancy.
