What is Allergy, Individual Marker, Common Pigweed?
Also known as Lamb’s Quarters, the pigweed produces pollen grains which some people are allergic to. Typically the allergy affects people during the month of summer. Doctors recommend taking the test in case of symptoms including hay fever, asthma, nasal congestion, itchy or watery eyes, rashes, sneezing, blocked sinuses.
No specific preparation is required to be taken by an individual prior to taking the pigweed allergy test. The process involves a test through which blood is taken and thereafter IgE levels are checked. If IgE antibodies increase, then it shows allergy from the antigen.
