What is Hemoglobin A2?
Hemoglobin A2 test is done to check for Thalessamia and is done by drawing blood samples. Hemoglobin A2 is a regular variant of hemoglobin A, which consists two alpha and delta chains respectively. Thalassemia results in reduction of globin chains, which in return disturbs the balance of alpha and delta chains.
What is Hemoglobin A2 used for?
