Prucalopride is used in the treatment of heartburn, indigestion, constipation and irritable bowel syndrome. It helps in relieving constipation that is long-lasting or keeps coming back.

How Prucalopride works

Prucalopride is a selective 5-HT4 receptor agonist that has high intrinsic activity. It indirectly stimulates the release of acetylcholine, a chemical messenger that increases the motility of the intestine and treats even chronic (long-term) constipation very effectively.
