Iguratimod Uses
Iguratimod is used in the treatment of Ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, systemic lupus erythematosus, Wilson's disease, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
How Iguratimod works
Iguratimod is a disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug (DMARD). It works by improving abnormal immunological response and suppressing the production of substances that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) in rheumatoid arthritis.
Common side effects of Iguratimod
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Diarrhea, Nausea, Rash, Abdominal pain, Vomiting, Stomatitis (Inflammation of the mouth), Photosensitivity, Decreased appetite, Itching, Hives, Nasopharyngitis (inflammation of the throat and nasal passages), Increased aspartate aminotransferase, Increased alanine aminotransferase, Aplastic anemia
