Carbazochrome is used to cease excessive bleeding (hemorrhage) in several conditions including bleeding following a surgery or trauma, piles (hemorrhoids), disorder of the eye (retinopathy), disease of blood vessels in patients with diabetes (diabetic angiopathy) etc.
How it works
Carbazochrome belongs to a class of drugs called hemostatics. It reduces blood loss from fragile capillaries (thin blood vessels) by improving the stability of the capillary walls thereby controlling bleeding.
Common side effects
Gastrointestinal discomfort, Hypersensitivity reaction
- Tell your doctor if you have had problems related or blood clots or any disorder of the kidney, heart or liver.
- Inform your doctor about any scheduled surgery including dental surgeries before taking carbazochrome and all the medications you are receiving that may affect blood clotting.
- Do not consume this drug if you are allergic to carbazochrome or any of its ingredients.
- Tell your doctor if you are or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding
