Osmogel contains Sodium chloride, a sterile hypertonic solution for ophthalmic use. A hypertonic solution is a particular type of solution that has a greater concentration of solutes on the outside of a cell when compared with the inside of a cell.

• Hypertonic sodium chloride solution for the eye is used to draw water out of a swollen cornea thus it reduces swelling.

• Decreasing swelling of the cornea may lessen eye discomfort or irritation caused by the swelling.

Directions For Use:

• Instill 1 or 2 times in the affected eye(s) or as directed by the physician.
