Understanding IgD
What is IgD?
This test measures the amount of immunoglobin D (IgD) in the blood. IgD is an antibody that is formed in response to an antigen. It is found in trace amounts in blood. The test helps in the diagnosis of certain type of multiple myleomas, Hyperimmunoglobulinemia D syndrome (HIDS) & immune disorders. You may need this test if you have recurrent fevers which last 3-7 days, skin rash, swollen lymph nodes, joint pain, abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea.

- To monitor loss of appetite, pain and fatigue
