MRI CSF Flow Study (Contrast)
What is MRI CSF Flow Study (Contrast)?
A Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) brain with CSF (cerebrospinal fluid) study creates a picture of the bulk, back and forth motion of CSF along with surrounding soft tissues. The contrast helps in increasing the visibility of the internal organs and hence improves the sensitivity and diagnostic accuracy of the MRI scan.
This test is prescribed by the doctor to diagnose brain tumors lby checking the accumulation of excessive CSF within the brain cavities and to detect increased or decreased CSF flow.
